Midweight Designer

Bugler Smith is an award-winning, integrated, brand communications agency. With a talented, passionate and dedicated team of people in place, we bring together years of big agency experience under one smaller agency roof.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Midweight Designer to join our creative team. You’ll be responsible for ideation, branding, print, digital, events and experiential design that is forward thinking, imaginative and visually engaging.

Reporting directly to the Head of Design, you’ll be required to mentor junior team members on a day-to-day basis, as well as support their progression and development.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.  The right candidate will be keen to learn, guide, develop and produce innovative ideas. You should be able to work independently to a brief, and with other designers on projects both big and small. You’ll also need to be flexible and well organised with the ability to deliver quality work under pressure.

Successful candidates will ideally have 3+ years’ agency experience with a strong track record of producing outstanding work.


What you’ll need:

  • A strong portfolio, full of creative thinking across a variety of channels that demonstrates high standards of design, branding, art direction, campaign ideation and digital design.

  • A excellent knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite. Experience with Adobe After Effects, Keynote and Sketch/XD would also be a bonus.

  • The ability to think beyond conventional design rules – a drive to innovate, break moulds and do things differently in order to create the very best experiences for our clients.

  • A great eye for detail and a the desire to solve complex creative problems.

  • Strong communication skills. You‘ll have experience presenting your work both internally and to clients. You’ll also need to inspire and motivate your fellow designers and others in the studio.

  • Experience in supporting the development of junior team members by mentoring and sharing relevant experience.
